The rapture is the most anticipated event in the Christian calendar. The rapture admonishes Christians, and of course all humans to be constantly ready for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. It will happen unannounced like a thief in the night (1 Thessalonians 5:2). So it is important that everyone should prepare for the rapture
Just like a thief will come in the night unannounced, there will be no time to say goodbye; the saints of Christ will be caught up swiftly to be with the Lord in the sky. Ask yourself this question; if Jesus comes now, are you prepared for the rapture?
The rapture, Will be the next big event In the world that Will shake the very foundation of the earth. The Scriptures say at the sound of the last trumpet, the dead in Christ will rise, put on an immortal body and ascend to Heaven, to be with the Lord.
Also, the living saints from all over the world will instantaneously and swiftly shed their mortal bodies, wear a glorified body and be caught up into the air, to embrace their waiting Saviour: “In a moments, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall rise incorruptible…Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Corinthians 15:52; 1 Thessalonians 4:17). The rapture will be the greatest wonder of the world, which Will mark the end of this dispensation of grace or the Church age.
Many people will be puzzled beyond explanation because the law of gravity will be suspended. All kinds of speculations will be made about the sudden and mysterious disappearance of friends, family members, colleagues, and neighbors. A large number of people who will miss the rapture will ignorantly mourn the disappearance of the raptured saints.
You have to prepare for the rapture, seeing that all the prophecies pointing the rapture have been fulfilled (Matthew 24:7-12); and that it could happen any moment from now. Are you ready? You need to be prepared lest you are taken unawares.
The Need For The Rapture
The rapture will bring to pass the fulfillment of the promises Jesus made to the Church in John 14:2-3, where he promised ” I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
Also, the rapture will be the only way to escape the Great Tribulation by the Church. Those that will be left behind after the rapture, will be subjected to intense suffering and torment in the hands of the Antichrist for seven years.
Meanwhile, the saints that will be caught up will be ushered in as the Bride of Christ into seven years of rejoicing and dining with Christ at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. During this period, they will be given rewards for their faithful services to God While on earth (Revelation 19:7).
Those saints at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb are automatically given access to partake in Christ’s glorious millennial reign on earth. For “…they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and reign with him a thousand years” (Revelation 20:6).
Happily, the rapture will also be a time of consolidation. When Christians will have to see again their dead ones who died in Christ. It will be a time of comfort; it will be such a joyous moment.
In addition, the rapture signifies victory over death and grave to believers. The Bible made it explicitly clear in 1 Corinthians 15:54, that “when this corruptible shall have put on incorruptible, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in the victory.”
The rapture will eventually mark the end of trials, pains, sorrow, troubles and anguish. “And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pains: for the former things are passed away” (Revelation 21:4).
Certainly, all the scoffers who doubt the promise of Jesus return, saying, “since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation” (2 Peter 3:3-4) will be proved wrong.
A rapture is a big event that will definitely take place and God will put a seal on the salvation of the raptured saints. Are you prepared for the rapture? Don’t miss it.
